Philip Sue is an Illustrator and designer born and raised in New Zealand with a passion for science fiction and fantasy art.
Full time graphic designer by day and freelance illustrator by night, even on weekends he will find an excuse to stay home and get creative on personal projects.
Philip has been drawing and painting since he was quite young but never took it seriously until the decision to take art studies to a tertiary level. This was also the time where he realised there was a possibility to turn this hobby into a career.
Side activities that connect quite closely with Philip's art consist of traveling, culture and history; these things inspire and fuel creativity everyday. The majority of Philip's artwork to date is conceptualised and sketched traditionally during early stages then rendered and finalised digitally.
His advice to budding artists - have fun. First and foremost you can’t forget to have fun, create what you are interested in, not what others are interested in. Over time you will get better as you practice and put in the time; this goes for anything, not just art.
