About the artist
Dyani’s imagery has always centered around the female face and form and as an artist loves to explore the world of contrasts within femininity.
Her females portray a sadness in beauty and hint at the edge of steel behind soft curves. Her work for No Shame No Silence hopes to show the strength of a woman, while acknowledging the ordeals that women endure, survive and rise beyond. She hopes that all viewers can recognise their mother, daughter, sister, nana, aunty as the enduring force they are. Above all, she hopes that they see themselves.
Dyani Wynn is a Kapiti based artist that studied fine art at the Dunedin School of Art. She participated in the Kapiti Arts Trail in 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
